Three different boxplots of the absolute number of the direct medical, direct non-medical and indirect costs of the caregivers. The costs show a skew in the distribution. The most financial strain was brought on by the direct non-medical costs on average € 405 ± € 1103. The direct medical costs amounted to an average of € 134 ± € 340 and two caregivers had indirect costs, namely a loss of net income of € 2400 per year and a loss of € 6000 net income per year. In the total sample, these results had a mean of € 56 ± € 526 per year
