100–250 beds, provide CPA-2-1 services plus various specialized services including intensive care and blood transfusion, ear, nose and throat, ophthalmology, and orthodontic services

60–100 beds, provide CPA-1 services plus emergency care, major surgery and other specialized services including intensive care and blood transfusion, ear, nose and throat, ophthalmology, and orthodontic services

40–60 beds, provide basic obstetric care, but with no major surgery nor general anesthesia; and no blood bank or blood deposit

Preventive and basic curative and delivery services, supplemented by specific activities for vertical programs
