  1. Dependent variable = life satisfaction. BMI = body mass index, defined as height (in m) divided by weight (in kg) squared. This analysis includes samples with BMI ≥ 25. Costs are in euros. The FE model controls for translog income, age, age squared, years of education, number of children, and homeownership, while the Lewbel IV adds in gender and marital status but omits age squared. Standard errors in parentheses; 95% confidence intervals (CI) in brackets
